Melissa Johnson Graham, M.A., BCBA

Board Certified Behavior Analyst, Executive Director

Mel is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and the Executive Director of Engaging Minds.  She is 2009 graduate of Indiana University with a Bachelor’s degree in Speech and Hearing Sciences and Psychology.  She was introduced to autism following her undergraduate career, and committed herself to helping and advocating for individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities.  Mel received her Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis with a certificate in autism from Ball State University in 2013 and became Board Certified through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board in 2014.  She is a member of the Hoosier Association of Behavior Analysis (HABA) and the Association for Behavior Analysis International (ABAI).  Mel has experience providing ABA therapy in clinical, home, residential, community and school-based settings with learners across the spectrum.  She believes each learner should receive professional, individualized treatment by focusing on their strengths and teaching new skills to help them be successful now and in the future.

Mel opened our very first Kokomo center in 2014 and transitioned to her hometown of Muncie in 2016 to launch our second location.  Over several years in our clinics, it became evident that diagnostic services were not readily available to families.  Partnering with several Licensed Psychologists throughout the state, she completed comprehensive training with the ADOS-2 and ADI-R autism diagnostic tools in order to administer autism screenings.  Our hope is for children to be screened earlier in order to receive early intervention services as soon as possible.
